Stook collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier, and no server of ours for anything to be sent to.

What Stook stores, and where
Everything Stook holds — the PDFs and images you import, the notes you write, your highlights and underlines, and the text it extracts to make search work — is kept in a single library package on your Mac.
If you have iCloud Drive turned on, that package is also kept in Stook's own iCloud container, inside your Apple Account, so your other Macs open the same library. That transfer is between you and Apple. We have no access to it, and no way to read what is in it.
If iCloud Drive is off, the library stays on the machine and nothing is transferred at all.
What Stook sends
Nothing to us. Stook has no telemetry, no crash reporting service, and no analytics of any kind.
The assistant runs on your Mac, on Apple's on-device foundation model. The questions you ask it and the pages it reads to answer them do not leave the machine.
Text extraction from scanned pages uses Apple's Vision framework, also on your Mac.
The copy of Stook sold outside the Mac App Store checks a version file on a public web address to know whether an update exists. That request carries nothing but the request itself. The Mac App Store copy does not do even that.
What we would ever see
Only what you choose to send us: the contents of an email you write to joaovcid@gmail.com, and whatever you attach to it. We use it to answer you and nothing else, and we do not pass it on.
Children
Stook is a document app with no accounts, no messaging, and no content from anyone but you. It collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated date above changes with it.
